In Episode 16 of the baseball entertainment show "Spark Baseball 2," released through Studio C1's official YouTube channel, the Spark Fighters engaged in a thrilling game against Dongguk University, a prestigious collegiate baseball program boasting 21 total wins in national tournaments, ultimately taking a 1-0 lead in a razor-thin competition.
Starting pitcher Lee Dae-eun cleanly retired the side in the top of the first inning, signaling a promising start. Dongguk University countered by taking their ace pitcher Lee Ye-hak to the mound. Table setter Jung Geun-woo drew a walk by laying off a high pitch from Lee Ye-hak, but the count increased after Jung Sung-hoon hit into a double play. Team captain Park Yong-taek followed with a hit to keep the offense alive, but the inning ended without a run as Lee Dae-ho flew out.
Lee Dae-eun continued with another clean strikeout in the top of the second inning, but in the top of the third, consecutive hits, a hit-and-run play, and a defensive error put the Spark Fighters in a critical situation with runners on first and third with two outs.
