Netflix entertainment show 'Why Are We Even Climbing Mountains?' has concluded the Hasanakkai journey while delivering unpredictable laughter until the very end.
In episodes 9 and 10 released on the 1st, 'Why Are We Even Climbing Mountains?' featured four involuntary climbers—Kardashian, DAY6's Dowoon, actress Lee Chae-min, and Allday Project Tarzan—who had never been interested in mountaineering, embarking on their first winter snow mountain journey and capturing a climbing variety show with unexpected variety charms. The realistic mountain climbing of the four Hasanakkai members and unexpected entertainment appeal blended together to deliver fresh fun until the end.
In the released episodes, the Hasanakkai members finished their last schedule in Ulsan and visited Tarzan's hometown, leading up to the final mountain climb. The four spent a special time together during the Lunar New Year holiday by dining with Tarzan's family and looking through childhood photos and diaries filled with memories. The four, who had grown close like family through mountain climbing, created yet another pleasant memory by spending an enjoyable time with Tarzan's family.
Meanwhile, a second recreation time came for Hasanakkai, who delivered legendary laughter from the first game. The Hasanakkai members, participating in a high-risk, high-return game called 'We'll Double It For You,' wagered the 'km badges' they had accumulated and competed once again. With the 100km achievement approaching and competitive spirit properly ignited, the four drew continuous laughter with increasingly bold betting and unpredictable answers.

Then the final mountain climb began. The Hasanakkai members divided into two courses—Baekmudon and Jungsanri—and set out on their final climb toward Jirisan's Cheonwang Peak. As they climbed with higher tension than usual knowing it was finally the last climb, Kardashian's unexpected active performance, moving forward without hesitation differently from usual, drew attention. The two teams met again at Jangteo-mok Shelter and headed together toward Cheonwang Peak, and finally all four reached the summit, completing the last quest.
After finishing all the final climbs, the Hasanakkai members each provided their own answer to the question 'Why Are We Even Climbing Mountains?' Kardashian analyzed that through five experiences, many people seem to be fighting with themselves, but added that he himself probably won't do it until he dies, adding laughter with his honest final impression. Dowoon recalled the words of a climber he met on Hallasan and cited the desire to test his limits as his reason for climbing. Tarzan shared that climbing made bad energy fly away and that there's no place that provides better energy than nature, while Lee Chae-min cited teamwork as the charm of climbing, saying that because they suffered together climbing, they became close-knit and developed camaraderie in a short time.
The film camera photos released on this day contained the pleasant moments of Hasanakkai captured directly by Lee Chae-min. 'Why Are We Even Climbing Mountains?', which drew attention from the start with the meeting of the 'trending four' Kardashian, Dowoon, Lee Chae-min, and Tarzan, delivered unpredictable fun with real chemistry and entertainment value.
True to the combination chosen by the Na Young-seok production team, from the frank and unfiltered reactions of the four facing mountaineering to the tight breathing built while climbing the mountain together, and the slapstick performances in games, different charms blended together to add pleasant laughter. In addition, it captured attention by vividly depicting the majestic snowy mountain landscapes of deep winter to beautiful mountain sceneries.

'Why Are We Even Climbing Mountains?', the climbing record of involuntary climbers, can only be watched in full on Netflix.
