Wave Original Survival Content 'The Community 2: The Invisible Hand' has released a Q&A featuring its planning intentions and viewing highlights three days ahead of its premiere.

'The Community 2: The Invisible Hand' (hereinafter 'The Community 2') is a social experiment survival show where participants holding different resources must survive solely through trading, with their survival and prize money at stake. Following the previous season's multi-dimensional relationships stemming from ideological and value differences, this season centers on resources and trading to capture participants' intense psychological warfare and unpredictable relationship dynamics. Ahead of the first release, the production team directly answered key questions ranging from the design intentions behind imbalanced resources to casting behind-the-scenes stories.

Regarding differentiation from the previous season, the production team stated they focused on maintaining unique identity while avoiding repetition of identical messages or structures. Unlike the previous season showing a community living under an agreed system, they noted that observing how groups with different interests form relationships and collide without consensus would reveal similarities to international relations. This leaves room for viewers to interpret from their own perspectives.

The reason for distributing imbalanced resources such as life, prize money, and activity rights to participants was to experiment with the economic concept of 'comparative advantage.' The team aimed to capture the trading and negotiation processes that occur when participants with different given resources and desired objectives compete for limited essential resources. Like the reality where the party presenting the price first is disadvantaged, they plan to vividly showcase intense psychological maneuvering and unavoidable psychological warfare to understand the opponent's mindset.

Production considerations for implementing 'The Invisible Hand,' the subtitle and main theme, continued. The premise that balance is achieved through purely selfish motives requires perfect information disclosure, but in reality, even slight information asymmetry distorts rational choices. The production team intensively highlighted dilemmas where decisions participants made to their best ability from their positions paradoxically diverge from the collective good.

The lineup and team composition were also completed considering participants' values and group dynamics from multiple angles. Given the reality nature without scripts, character interactions became even more crucial. The reason for re-recruiting Lee Ji-na from the previous season was that her economics background aligned with the theme, and as a transparent and sincere player, she would serve as a reference point amid high-uncertainty situations.

The key viewing point highlighted by the production team is the diversification of perspective. The same narrative gains different interpretations each time depending on which character's position one views from. The charm of viewing lies in observing what ripple effects participants' moment-to-moment choices have on the overall situation. Furthermore, reversals unfolding each night beyond the day's intense trading are expected to provide viewers with intense immersion.

The social experiment survival 'The Community 2: The Invisible Hand' returns with a new game board and will be exclusively premiered on Wave on Friday, September 4th.
