As expectations grow for what kind of masterpiece will be born, a first episode preview video and team posters have been released, further raising curiosity about the work.
'The Community 2' is a social experiment survival where participants with different resources must survive through trading alone, betting on survival and prize money. It is the second season of 'Ideological Verification Zone: The Community', which has garnered attention as Korea's first 'ideology survival' and was nominated for the Best Entertainment Award at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards and won the Best Entertainment·Educational Program Award at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards.
In the first episode preview video, the unique structure and survival rules of the community town divided into four groups are revealed. The 'White' team—Gary Kim, Knocks, Park Se-seung, Shin Hye-won, Lee Han, Lee Hyun-sun—hold prize authority, the 'Blue' team—Lee Su-min, Lee Ji-na, Lim Ji-eun—manage survival, and the 'Red' team—Park Chul-hyun, Seung-woo's Dad, Lee Jae-yong—control games. The 'Black' team's Jung Jae-ho alone holds food and information distribution, trading with each group and engaging in fierce negotiations to secure his advantage.
Scenes showing participants' conflicts heighten the tension. As Lee Su-min tears up and Jung Jae-ho exudes confidence, heated voices follow—"Let's start a war," "Hypocrisy from beginning to end." With different powers held by each group, it raises curiosity about whether they can achieve satisfactory trades and negotiations beyond conflict, heightening expectations for the psychological warfare to unfold.
The 'Values Code Test' conducted before move-in is also a device that heightens immersion. Questions appear that address ethical, social, and economic dilemmas such as torturing a terrorist's child, the wage gap between CEO and employees, the causes of poverty, and dam construction in flooded areas for public interest. Participants react with difficulty, saying "the questions are really intense," "my thoughts changed and I reflected on myself."
The four team posters released together feature copy containing each group's survival methods and values. The White team's message reads "Survival isn't the only goal, will I go empty-handed?", Blue team's "Why do we have to be responsible for your lives?", Red team's "Just kill everyone, just by skill," and Black team's "I want peace," each foreshadowing different desires and strategies.
