Girlgroup UNIS (Jin Hyun-joo, Nana, Jellydanka, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Elisia, Oh Yun-a, Lim Seo-won) is making a comeback by giving a fresh new take on a hit song that captivated the 90s.
UNIS will release the remake single 'Haneul Ddang Byeol Ddang' through various music streaming sites at noon on the 8th.
The new song is a reinterpreted track of the 1997 hit song by female duo BIBI. UNIS will maintain the original song's signature addictiveness and bright atmosphere while adding kitschy high-teen charm and trendy K-pop sound to deliver sensibilities that appeal across generations.
Particular attention is being drawn to the fact that this is the first remake song they've released since their debut. There is growing anticipation for UNIS's new look, infused with Y2K sensibility, as they have been successfully handling diverse concepts.
Meanwhile, UNIS entered the Oricon Daily Album Chart at No. 4 and the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales Chart at No. 15 with their first Japanese mini-album 'UNI☆Sparkle!' released in July, and continues to enjoy hot popularity with their title track 'GimmeSummer☆' ranking high on major local charts.
