'Hope' (Hope), which attracted attention for its original story, has confirmed promotions in Vietnam and North America, and has been successively invited as an official selection to leading film festivals around the world.
'Hope' (directed and written by Na Hong-jin / produced by Foxed Films / co-produced by PluseM Entertainment and Westworld Inc. / presented and distributed by PluseM Entertainment) will hold local promotions from September 1st to 2nd ahead of its Vietnam release on September 4th. Director Na Hong-jin and cast members Hwang Jeong-min, Cho Jin-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon will participate in official schedules including press conferences, premiere red carpet events, and meet-and-greets. Ahead of the North American release on September 9th, from September 7th to 15th, they will visit major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, and San Francisco to participate in local screenings and Q&A sessions.
Invitations from world film festivals are continuing. Following invitations to the 79th Cannes Film Festival, the 25th New York Asian Film Festival, the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, and the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival, the film has also been selected for the Panorama section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival on October 6th. The film has also been invited to major genre film festivals such as the German Fantafestival, adding to the momentum.
'Hope' is a story that begins when Beom-seok, the head of the Hopo Port outpost located in the Demilitarized Zone, hears news of a tiger's appearance, and the entire village goes on alert.
'Hope', which has launched its full global campaign, is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
