'Hope', which has garnered attention for its original storytelling, has confirmed promotions in Vietnam and North America, followed by successive official invitations to world-renowned film festivals.
'Hope' (directed/written by Na Hong-jin / produced by Posed Films / co-produced by PlusM Entertainment, Westworld Inc. / presented/distributed by PlusM Entertainment) will conduct local promotions from September 1st to 2nd ahead of its Vietnam release on September 4th. Director Na Hong-jin and actors Hwang Jung-min, Jo In-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon will participate in official schedules including press conferences, premiere red carpet events, and meet and greets. In line with the North American release on September 9th, from September 7th to 15th, they will visit major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, and San Francisco to participate in local screenings and Q&A sessions.
Film festivals around the world are also showing their love calls. Following previous invitations to the 79th Cannes Film Festival, the 25th New York Asian Film Festival, the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, and the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival, the film has been selected for the Panorama section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival to be held on October 6th. The film has also received invitations from major genre film festivals such as Germany's Fantasy Filmfest, adding to the momentum.
'Hope' is a story that begins when Bum-seok, the director of the Hopho Port Liaison Office located in the Demilitarized Zone, hears news of a tiger's appearance, and the entire village goes on high alert.
'Hope', which has begun its full-scale global campaign, is currently screening at theaters nationwide.
